Probiotics and Your Health

The raving hit of 2010-2016 is Yogurt.  Yogurt is possibly one of the most famous health foods.  In reality yogurt isn’t good for you at all.  Yogurt is incorrectly labeled to be a health food, and loaded with sugar.  Dairy isn’t even the best place to get those good bacteria strains your gut health.  Ideally, you’d want to get it from other sources.

Great Sources of Probiotics:

  • Sauerkraut
  • Miso Soup
  • Kombucha
  • Sour Pickles

Personally, I take a serious spore-driven probiotic.  I’m a huge believer in the fact that your stomach acid will destroy any probiotic strains you try and put in it.  It’s also important to take a prebiotic such as apple cider vinegar.  A probiotic can really help out your back pain because it replace those inflammatory bacteria with good ones.  A strong combination of apple cider vinegar and a strong probiotic will do amazing things for your body.

We are living in a crucial time in humanity.  Our life expectancy is getting shorter instead of longer.  Despite all the medical breakthroughs the kids born today will have a shorter lifespan than 10 years ago.  There are some serious issues with our culture today that is having a negative impact on our health, our kids health, and our family’s health.  Unfortunately, the climb out of this hole we dug for ourselves is deep.

Obesity Facts from the NIH

  • 2 in 3 or 66.6% of Adults are now considered to be overweight or obese.
  • Greater than 1 in 3 or 33% of Adults are now considered to be obese.
  • On average 5% or 1 in 20 Adults are considered to have a case of extreme obesity.
  • 33% or 1 in 3 Children from the ages of 6 – 19 are overweight or obese
  • 16% or 1 in 6 Children from the ages of 6 – 19 years of age are obese

In Defense

buffIn defense to these calculations put on by the NIH there are some people like my husband who are “obese”.  I’m sure you’ve read my bio, and can understand that I’d be the last person on earth to have a health issue.  Same thing goes for my husband, but his BMI is in the obese category because of how much muscle he has.

Take the gentlemen to your left.  He’s got what looks to be a 6 or a 8 pack of chiseled abs.  He’s very muscular, and by definition would be very healthy.  In the eyes of the Body Mass Index or BMI he is actually obese.  His BMI would definitely be 30+, and possibly 40+ which would put this fine guy into the extreme obesity category.

Now that doesn’t go for everyone!  I had a good laugh the other day when a client of mine tried apple cider vinegar for the first time, and said she lost a pound, and gained a pound of muscle the week after using it.  I asked her, have you actually been taking it?  She replied “no it takes like butt hole!”


We need to treat obesity like the epidemic it is, and change around everything about health.  There is a ton of weight discrimination going on in this country already, but there doesn’t have to be.

plantsHaving a healthy home is essential to living a long happy life.  A home should have plenty of oxygen producing plants inside of it especially if you have the doors and windows closed for a majority of the time.  A great example of this is when I lived in Stamford, CT.  It would get so hot during the summer that I would be forced to shut all the windows and crank the AC.  Often times the AC isn’t great for you, and on top of that the new oxygen flow is very limited.  Four to six plants oxygen producing plants will greatly improve the overall health of your home.

On top of that the energy given from those plants will give your room some much needed positive life energy.  You should be very careful of the harmful fragrances, candles, and cleaning product that you use.  They can be very bad for your health especially in a room with a lack of air circulating.  I went the extra mile when I was living in Stamford, and only used a organic, green and eco-friendly carpet cleaner.  He did an amazing job, and I could really feel the difference.

Take it from me, a mother of 4 now and serious Health Guru.  Spend the extra couple bucks, it’ll be 100% worth it!

Himalayan Pink Salt LampAnother great idea to add to your home is a Himalayan Pink Salt Lamp.  This amazing product is not only affordable, but will completely improve your home health.  The lamp has numerous benefits from improving your sleep, to increasing your energy levels.  One of the top reasons I personally chose this product is because it neutralizes your electromagnetic radiation.  Electromagnetic Radiation or EM Radiation for short is coming off of your phone, tablet, computer, TV, and everything else electronic in your house as you read this blog.

EM Radiation has not had enough time to be researched heavily, and the following opinions are based on my personal experience rather than fact.  Health Gurus agree that in 2016 “Sitting is the new Smoking”, but what they don’t realize is that in 2036 EM Ration will be the new sitting!  EM Radiation is so powerful that in 10 years bees will be extinct because they navigate properly with WiFi disrupting their ability to find home.

EM is known to cause problems already according to Gurus like Paul Chek, Joey Lefkowitz, and Ashley Diamonds.  Tesla even invented a EM blocking machine, because they know how bad it is for you.  I personally have a salt lamp, but if you can’t afford one then try this alternative resolution.  Take your phone, and place it far away from you when you go to sleep.  See if you notice a change.  Comment below when you do!

The biggest problem we have in this country isn’t weight discrimination like I mentioned in my last post.  Instead the biggest issue we have is the fact that the whole USA is obsessed with treating the symptoms instead of the root cause.  When someone says they have back pain they check with the most reputable sources like WebMD.

WebMD says to take anti-inflammatory drugs to deal with the back pain.  Are you kidding me?  By taking anti-inflammatory drugs you’re overworking your kidneys.  You’re not treating anything but the pain.  It’s unbelievable that these huge companies don’t want to truly help people.

The Right Treatment

The right treatment for back pain is much different. You need to figure out the cause of the back pain.  In most cases the cause back pain itself is a instability of the back.  The instability is caused by a unhealthy gut.  To treat the back, you really need to treat the gut.  Taking probiotics will be very helpful, but you need a prebiotic like apple cider vinegar.  On top of that you’ll need to start to figure out if you have any other issues ranging from glute amnesia to bulging discs.

Treating the gut will be a slower approach to minimizing the pain you experience, but you can actually change the way your back functions.  Changing the way your back functions will allow it to heal, strengthen and prevent future injuries.
